Ed HeadshotM. Edward Fenton continues 25 years of creating and managing sales, marketing, and promotional initiatives on behalf of clients.

Fenton’s clientele and former employers have included international trade publishers, specialized manufacturers, and logistics companies.    During the 1980s and 1990s, he developed specialist experience in the wire and cable, fiber cable, and plastics industry segments forging relationships with trade organizations such as National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), the Electronic Industry Alliance/ Telecommunications Industry Alliance (EIA/TIA), Wire Association International, American Copper Council, and American Wire Producers Association.     He was involved in editing and publishing Wire Industry News and its successor publication, Cables Industry Analyst; Fastener Industry News; and also sold advertising in Wire & Cable Technology International magazine.

Fenton was a co-founder and managing partner of the Wire & Cable Focus trade show and conference, which was sold as a profitable asset to the International Wire & Cable Symposium, in 1999 after a 9-year run.   He incorporated two trade associations, Wire & Cable Industry Suppliers Association, and Wire & Cable Manufacturers Alliance, in 1996 and 2004, respectively.   He continues to Chair the Wire & Cable Manufacturers Alliance (www.wcmainc.org)

In more recent years, Fenton Group, Inc. has successfully marketed products, publications and events and has acted as an interim business development executive  handling short term projects for clients seeking to better strategically position products or services.   He has been involved in organizing trade missions and trade show representation at events in the UK, Germany, Taiwan, and China.

From 1994-2006, Fenton served on the Connecticut Governor’s Small Business Advisory Council, a bipartisan advisory group serving the Governor, State economic development agencies, and the Connecticut small business community.  As Image Committee Chairman, he was responsible for coordinating outreach events.

Fenton is a former Board member of The Tolland Fund, a charitable organization that raises money for wheelchair athletes participating in the Para-Olympics, the Connecticut State Department of Mental Retardation, and the Ivan Lendl Tennis Camp.

He coaches youth basketball for children in grades 7 and 8.
